Course Description
ChartBrowser is a digital chart application developed by ChartWorld. It enables users to search, select, and gather various chart products for a specified route calculation. Additionally, it facilitates the management of existing chart inventories and the placement of product orders, either through an agent or directly to ChartWorld. Upon delivery, the charts are decrypted using provided permit data and subsequently installed on the corresponding Electronic Chart Display and Information Systems (ECDIS) or Electronic Chart Systems (ECS) onboard.

Course Objectives
The ChartBrowser course provides officers with the deeper software knowledge required for efficient chart selection, management and automatic routing.

This course is designed for all officers of the bridge team involved in ensuring the safe navigation of the vessel.
Learning Outcomes
Module 1: Introduction to the various icons, functions and features of ChartBrowser to ensure appropriate handling.
Module 2:Explanation of the different options for the Shopping Basket and the inventory.
Module 3: Description of how to find, select and collect the required chart as well as how to send an order to ChartWorld.
Module 4: This module deals with the Chart Permits and the updating process of the ChartBrowser catalogues.
ECDIS specific route monitoring feature and how to monitor the voyage and all related data safely.
